Salary: £24,027 - £25,183 per annum, pro rata

Vacancy Hours: 32.5 Hours Per Week

Contract Type: Fixed Term, Term Time Only

Markington is a small rural primary school and our highly skilled and dedicated staff are proud to offer children a good education in our nurturing and caring school. Our friendly staff team are professional and motivated, and work effectively with our supportive community and governing body. Our parents are overwhelmingly 100% positive.

Due to an increase in pupil numbers, we are looking for an additional GTA to join our team in supporting our small, mixed Nursery, Reception and Year 1 class. The class is led by an experienced teacher and is supported by an established TA. This is a full-time post and will provide additional support for teaching and learning.

This post is fixed term until the end of this academic year but it is anticipated that this role will continue in the next academic year.

The successful candidate will need:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of young children
  • Good knowledge of the curriculum for EYFS & KS1
  • Hold a recognised level 2 or 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent)
  • The ability to work autonomously under the direction of the teacher
  • Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils
  • Be able to communicate effectively with children and adults and work as part of a team
  • Be committed to our school ethos
  • Be empathetic, caring, flexible and approachable
  • Be willing to undertake appropriate training
