The Opportunity

As one of the senior technologists in our London office, the Solution Lead - Investment Platforms will be a technical authority, responsible for architecting and designing high-quality investment technology solutions that align with our global architecture frameworks, strategy, and standards.

In this role, you will:

• Be hands-on in architecture and design while inspiring others through technical leadership throughout project lifecycles.
• Work autonomously, taking ownership of solution design, while seamlessly collaborating with global teams.
Combine deep expertise in investments with technical know-how to help build robust, scalable, and secure solutions that directly benefit our members.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives on solving complex challenges and leading by example.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design innovative, investment-focused technology solutions, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with global standards.
• Act as the local technical SME, working independently while ensuring alignment with the global architecture framework and strategy.
• Lead by example, inspiring others through technical expertise, collaboration, and a “hands-on” approach.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, leveraging your deep understanding of investments to bridge business needs and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with globally based engineers, analysts, and external partners to ensure successful delivery of projects, from concept to implementation.
Ensure strong governance, presenting solutions for approval at relevant forums and maintaining technical oversight throughout the development lifecycle.

About You

You are an experienced solution designer and technologist with a passion for leading by doing. Equally comfortable inspiring others as you are working hands-on, you thrive in a role that demands autonomy, strategic vision, and deep technical expertise.

What Youll Bring:

• Proven leadership in a technical role : While this is an individual contributor role, you inspire and guide others through your expertise, collaboration, and ability to drive results.
• Deep investments expertise : A strong understanding of investment processes (Front, Middle, and Back Office) and experience with systems like Aladdin, Calypso, Charles River, iLevel, or similar.
• Solution architecture mastery : 5+ years designing secure, scalable, and high-performing technology solutions in Financial Services/Wealth Management.
• Autonomy and adaptability : Experience working independently in a globally connected environment, with the ability to align local solutions to global strategies.
• Technical excellence : Knowledge of modern data warehousing, investments data platforms (Finbourne, GoldenSource, Eagle or similar), cloud technologies (Azure preferred), and agile delivery.
• Stakeholder engagement : Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to partner with global teams and external vendors.
