Researcher (Output) - Good Morning Britain 6 Month Fixed Term Contract Office/Studio Based, London Hiring range: £28,000 to £31,000 Your work matters to millions. Good Morning Britain has an exciting opportunity to join the Output team as a researcher. The role will involve writing scripts, ordering and cutting pictures, commissioning graphics and briefing guests, all to tight deadlines. Youll need to be full of programme and production ideas, with an interest in news and current affairs, as well as entertainment, plus have a thorough knowledge of social media, to help deliver the content that our viewers love. To be considered, you must be happy to work a range of shifts, including nights and weekends, and have strong research and fact-checking skills. A background as a researcher in a broadcast or news environment is advantageous.

Skills youll need (minimum criteria)
  • Experience writing scripts for TV
  • Familiarity with picture editing and broadcast software (Avid/iNews ideally) although training will be available
  • Experience briefing guests ahead of live programming
  • Experience working to tight deadlines

  • Experience as a researcher in a broadcast or news environment
  • Familiarity with broadcast law and Ofcom rules
